Visonic Powermaster 33 is a smart alarm suitable for residential flats, apartments and small to medium-sized enterprises.
It comes with a control panel that acts as a central system and is connected to a 2-way keypad to set up your PIN and feed important information such as time, date and phone numbers. It has one of the most stylish wireless keypads on the market and gives a perfect look to your hallway. Because the control panel and keypad are separate so you can keep the control panel discreet.
The kit comes with a proximity tag or keyfob and can easily track who’s coming and leaving your home. The alarm comes with optional connectivity modules like GSM and IP for call, text, and app connectivity. Visonic app connectivity is free of charge and doesn’t come with an ongoing monthly subscription.
It uses advanced technology like Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) and AES-128 encryption algorithm that increases channel performance for better reliability and enhanced performance in a larger premise.

CommPact is a low-cost smart alarm by Risco introduced for homeowners looking for a cost-effective alarm system.
CommPact alarm is also a wireless alarm system that uses the same app- iRisco. It gives homeowners the authority to control and monitor the device status, view the main menu and the event history, and get event notifications in real-time.
The only limitation is that you can’t get a call or text alert on your phone in case of any event; you’ll only get alerts via push notifications on the app.
If people have pets at home, they don’t have to worry as this kit comes with pet-friendly detectors. Installation is relatively fast and straightforward with CommPact alarms.
Pyronix Enforcer Burglar Alarm
Pyronix is another smart alarm that is quite good for residential homes other than Risco and Visonic. It is ideal for any property type- residential (flats, apartments, terraced, semi-detached and detached houses) to small offices.
Pyronix alarm is durable and comes with several options such as shock sensors, motion detectors, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors to be paired with for additional safety.
It also includes a pet-friendly detector as part of the kit and can be connected to 34 wired and 32 wireless devices. The battery has a power-saving mode that automatically turns on sleep when it’s not needed to save energy and money.
Pyronix being a smart alarm, can easily integrate into your smartphone through the ProControl+ app and provides a centralised platform for assessing the safety of your home. However, the app is free for the first year and will have an ongoing subscription fee from the second year onwards.
